Workshops

Living history in the classroom is an educational process that blends humanities with multiple arts including theater drama, writing, music, dance, visual and apparel arts, and historical storytelling.
In the spirit of Harriet Tubman, students will be motivated to ignite change within by engaging in workshop activities. Student workshops are tailored to your organizational needs.

Spoken word poetry can be a tool for literacy, empowerment, engagement, education, and community-building that can be used in classrooms across content areas.
Workshops are tailored to your student’s needs – whether beginners, experts, or somewhere in between. Encouraging people to engage with the world around them and use spoken word poetry as an instrument through which they can explore and better understand their community, their society, and ultimately themselves.
